Frisco Winter Games

The Winter Games of Texas doesn’t happen until January 14-16, 2011, but athletes of all ages and skill levels from amateur, to recreational, to Olympic hopefuls can sign up now to participate in the games.

The 6th anniversary of the largest multi-sport event in North Texas will draw an estimated 4,300 athletes and 17,000 spectators next year. The wide variety of sports at this annual event includes swimming, fencing, basketball, flag football, gymnastics, soccer, bowling, table tennis, wrestling, figure skating, ice hockey, taekwondo and volleyball at venues all around Frisco and will generate an estimated $2.75 million dollars for the area.

The Winter Games of Texas was created as companion to the Summer Games of Texas by the Texas Amateur Athletic Federation, the Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Frisco Parks and Recreation Department.
